Keep it Real

My name is Becky and I like to keep it real,
I try to hide my emotions,
but I can't help but express how I feel.
Some people think I'm crazy,
but that's just who I am;
an independent woman who never depends on a man.
I like to have fun in the sun,
I know it sounds cliché,
I just try to enjoy life,
living day by day.
Some days are easy,
others not so much.
Some days you have to remember,
not to get your panties in a bunch.
I don't remind myself enough,
to be grateful for what I have,
Don't take things for granted,
because you'll look back and say " I shouldn't have".
Keeping it real is the way to be,
just as living life dangerously.
Some people may not agree,
but what can I say, that's just me.
