Frozen Darkness

by Baby Rainbow   Jan 16, 2016

You were determined to make a difference
to the empty feeling I felt inside,
since they took my innocent body
into the hidden world of cruelty
and stole my soul.

You moved a little closer
as I was shaken to the core,
removing me from that dark world of tragedy,
trying to wipe my mind clean
with your comfort and your friendship.

But that's when you abandoned me
inside this frozen darkness.
Black memories resurfaced in my heart,
making you run for miles
and never look back!

Standing in the rain,
as the painful truth unfolds,
I was never blessed with your love,
only your expectations.

My heart was wrong,
again!
