I love the weather, but not always!

by CRAFTY KEN   Jan 17, 2016

Last night the wind was howling all night long, my stomach was growling following along.
I could hear the weather radio constantly screaming it's familiar song, The British are coming, no that's wrong!

It's a Tornado warning, great I thought, can't it wait until morning?
When wind grew stronger my prayers got longer!
I cried out to the wind; can you take your howling down around the bend so this nightmare will end?

The Lord was throwing his lightning bolts around like harpoons as the mighty storm did loom.

No sleep could I get, how can I blame my wife's cooking, it was really good looking but the broccoli and cheese had formed an alliance while they simmered in the appliance, not rocket science.

My innards did sound the alarm, they cried out; hurry send the soothing balm.

We toss and turn, it is for a peaceful sleep that we yearn.
Finally its 6 am and very quiet, as I pour my java and think about our horrible night, one thing I endeavor to do is to change my diet.

    Funny indeed, Ken!
This reminds me of tossing and turning under the covers when I was a child, terrified of the thunder and lightening outside. If only I'd known then that a strong cup of coffee would be the fix-all!
As for the diet, certainly, that can be a problem when trying to sleep!
    Take care,
    Ben
