Secrets

by TheDarkCloudBehindthePoet   Jan 19, 2016

If I could tell the truth I'd lose everything,
The woman I love, my friends and family,
would all disappear,
Tangled in a web of lies I call the truth,

My faith would rip their hearts out,
My sex would would fill a river with their tears,
My self harm would blow their minds,
and everything else would gently fade away like the winter wheat,

When I get lonely my mind takes control,
My truths see the light and destroy my soul,
I can't be honest because honesty is fear,
I'm scared to death and it just might kill me.
