One that flew away

by DarkLight   Jan 20, 2016

Do not wonder, that I waited long to tell you I meant every word,
do not cry for not taking me seriously.
All I ever want is to see you smile,
even if the price is life without you.
How could you have notice,
that inside my heart was aching,
bruised by the world,
when all I did was smile when you were around.
Do not blame me, for fighting your battles,
all I hoped was that you will see me as your knight .
How could I have risked our friendship with all the great moments that we had cheerished,
would I have thrown it away?
No. I chose you over everyone else, even when knowing the cost of it would be my happiness.
As you live far away from my watch, I asked that you be happy.
Take the chance, live the moment, cheerish the beauty of it all, and sadness never give in to it at all.

There is more to a poem than the heart. Find within others a quiet place, where love is absolute, and unwavering.

    Busy,
A moving piece here about letting the love of your life go but wanting them to move on and be happy despite your own heartbreak.
True love means sacrifice, and this certainly strikes me as that.

    Lovely write and take care,
    Ben
