Massacre

Hello,

now this is poetry at its best. Poetry that stems from a life that truly knows 'hell'. Only poetry this deep and knowledgeable and raw can translate it for others to read and gain a glimpse of such distrust and apprehension. To take that first tentative step towards another; another who is offering love. Love is that carrot that dangles just out of reach, that stick that whips back and stings so sharply that it is almost good. Love that is only known in a painful or lonely way. It is small wonder then that such an offer is tested to its breaking point and beyond. And if, and that's a big if, this love should pass, then yes, "We will be the most beautiful massacre... "

A poem so full of quality that I only hope that others see it grace the winners page next week.

A truly wonderful piece Beautiful Chaos, a wonderful inspirational write you have penned here, reflecting I'm sure, experiences of the Love variety that some of us have encountered at one time or another in our lives.
To be loved wholeheartedly and without judgement by someone, despite showing that person 'your' madness and internal sufferings and insecurities, does show that the person who loves you, is giving you the most purest and most loving of all loves, if they can survive being shown your very soul and everything about you, good or bad.
One should be truly blessed to find such a rare person indeed.
"I'll show you my madness. Let you kiss my scars, my heart..' is truly one of the many awe inspiring lines you have written here.

An honest write here acknowledging your flaws but also that you will pick life and relationships to the bones to get at the truth of the matter. After all, it's better to know whether someone has "the stomach" for it at the start, isn't it?

Such depth and passion in this poem. I love how honest you are and that this love is something you won't hide, it can't be masked over. The ugly parts can't be erased... it reminds me how we all have good and bad in us, but we choose what to do with it, how to live. To truly love someone through all the faults, every up and down, to see and read them so deeply, now that is amazing. A love fully given.
