Galloping Ghost:

by Scott Cole   Feb 7, 2016

I'm on a midnight run
Across the Milky Way,
Where i'll finally end up
It's really hard to say.

It takes but only seconds
To burn off all my glee,
To cool down my engine
Hurry make a wish on me.

Sparks mark my journey
The path of which i come,
Im a fireball in the sky
That's turning into crumbs.

I make my famous descend
From Heaven towards Earth,
I'll never get this chance again
Let me give it all i'm worth.

My rocket fuel is getting low
And my stardust is obsolete,
When i explode to a million pieces
My mission will be complete.

My destination is uncertain
And so is my very direction,
So all that your eyes behold
Is the image of my projection.

As the wonder of the Universe
That's the dark side of the night,
As it slowly swallows me whole
There then goes my fizzled light.

    Scott,

This is so darn creative and just lovely...

The first few stanzas had a soft touch to it... and then it churned into a mysterious and favorable ending... truly enjoyed this poem by you!
