Day And Night:

by Scott Cole   Feb 9, 2016

Oh what if I could have my way
And have your heart but for a day,
Erase all the hurt and all the pain
All of the misery that it contains.

Free it from all ropes and chains
And all those lies that led to games,
Remove your sorrow that lives within
Those bumps and bruises under your skin.

Take away all your aches of anguish
All that resentment that does languish,
Fill it full of excitement and charm
To replace all your trauma and harm.

Oh let me dry and wipe your eyes
And give you reasons to never cry,
Build up your strength and your will
To put all of your failures at a standstill.

Let me give you back a second chance
To find that someone to share romance,
For it's but you and it's but me
Because nobody else fulfilled your needs.

Forget the past where you once was
It's no better moment to find true love,
So let me hurry before time expires
To give you all your heart desires.

For if I had but one passing day
That minute hand not here to stay,
I wish I may and I wish I might
Forever love you day and night.
