Love's Last Laugh

by Baby Rainbow   Feb 12, 2016

A perfect memory rising in watery eyes,
disintegrating my smile like boiled sugar.

...

Our last laugh together.

...

The last talk we had
left my once gilded heart
without laughing beats.
I did not foresee
our last conversation
crashing into and endless whisper
of goodbye.

Oh, how I crave
for these surreal memories to be fresh again.

But instead,
I let the tissue soak them up,
then throw them away in the trash,
just like you did with me.
