Poetry's Tender Petal

by Baby Rainbow   Feb 12, 2016

Breathtaking memories
are falling fiercely
into another suffocating secret.

Dulcet beats of sadness
echo inside my cold cocoon,
becoming my favourite muse;
a lonely sound I can trust.

I can't keep flooding time,
contemplating how to escape.

I have become a tender petal
shrouded inside emptiness,
unable to see the best view of this life.

I have become a lost petal,
only blooming inside the darkest poetry.
