Powerless

by Saerelune   Feb 18, 2016

Three-hundred pens
on scratchy notebooks:
writers, doodlers,
or sheep like me.

Twenty five PnQ stickers
on three years scrap:
sadness, sadness,
irrelevance.

I'm twenty-one,
one out of many,
never volunteered,
never worn success.

My life fits on an USB,
4 Euros at the groceries,
and I'd go home, cook,
wish I'd starve myself.

Your poem, while spot on and well crafted, reminds me why I'm happy not to be in college anymore haha. Usually I forget all the bad, but I guess memories make everything rose-hued and softened.
