I took a walk

by DarkLight   Feb 29, 2016

Across the valleys and up the hills I walked,
down the lane of self destruction step by step I walked.
The colours of the world,
blue,
green,
yellow,
white not once I saw.
Black and red is the colour the painter used to map the aftermath of yesterdays events and there before.

The smell of death engulfing my little privacy,
where the only thing to share is shame and regrets,
trading pride for what was left behind.

I took a walk across the seas,
but my mind was too heavy to go past the shore,
and nothing to show.
Crowded by the memories of what was to be a better tomorrow
I cease to breath and choke from my own sorrows.
Few left alive,
unanswered questions ready to burst like bees from a smoking hive.
I took a walk,
to avoid those silly talks.
Today I walk, tomorrow i'll walk,
I'll keep walking, until humanity learn to live with nothing but walk.

Your poetry speaks of a mind full of dark thoughts and memories. I particularly like the part where you took the walk across the seas but your mind was too heavy to go past the shores

I must say, your poems are quite practical and that's what I like about them. Well framed. Love the last part.
