Breath Of Life:

by Scott Cole   Mar 4, 2016

A heart and a bubble
Both are in trouble,
If a lie and a needle
Decide to ever be evil.

For both are alive
With a breath of air,
Each has a heartbeat
That's tender loving care.

Both hold a mouthfull
Of life itself,
Such precious cargo
In a soft shell.

Outside the shell
The World can be cruel,
So a heart and a bubble
Follow the Golden Rule.

Do unto others
As done unto you,
With each precious breath
That we get to chew.

It's just as important
In a heart or a bubble,
Both deserve a chance
To live and not crumble.

A heart is for real
A bubble for fun,
The same breath of air
Makes them both run.

When that soft shell
Releases it's last drop,
Another lifespan
Comes to a stop.

For a heart is
A loved one gone,
For a bubble is
A laugh and a song.

The bubbles go up
The hearts go down,
A wonderful life lived
In air and on ground.

For every little breath
No matter how small,
Is one less breath
That you'll ever draw.
