Domination of Darkness

by Rob   Mar 9, 2016

Her dreadlocks cast shadows of evil and scorn,
On the dampened path below a blood moon,
All alone she stands beyond the final abyss,
In a forest filled with nothing but pain and with gloom...

She calls this wicked forest her asylum,
Where she secretes herself into the night,
Somnolence overtakes her aspirations,
To invoke a deeper dimension of fright...

Silently she listens for the forthcoming,
The rustling in the trees tell her they are near,
She prepares herself for the anointment,
A final deliverance from all mortal fears...

No one would be cognizant of their absence,
Narcissistically challenged they would show no remorse,
In another dimension of the darkness,
Where you become the forests main course...

Desecrate the souls of those unfamiliar,
There is the stench of despair in the air,
Hear them flying down from their nests in the trees,
And know this will be the worst nightmare...

They finally reach them and the biting begins,
Hostilities released and the ground turns to red,
They should not have knowingly followed her here,
In the wicked asylum of the living dead...

Coerced by their pragmatic inhibitions,
Fate will turn in the direction of the night sky,
Never to walk in this valley again,
Painfully annihilated will be the way that they died...

She adds another cross to her arm,
The ink made from their fluids and blood,
And she will take them all to eternal rest,
By dragging them on the ground through the red mud...

Her blithesome resilience unfathomable,
A drop of blood drips slowly from her chin,
As they retreat to their nests in the trees,
In domination of the darkness again...
