Encompassed By An Angel

Who is this angel calling me,
Trying to to encompass my heart
inside her song of a gentle melody?

The touch of your hand
broke through this exterior wall of mine,
allowing you to enter deeply
into my elusive heart.

Your gentle touch
might jut melt my sense of defence
and encompass me within a whisper of hope.

And I trust my angel
to give me the hope I need
to explore the burning prospect of my future -
the future that I very nearly lost.

But luckily, she kept me hanging on to hope.
