The Vase atop the Roof [ shakespearean Sonnet]

by Everlasting   Mar 17, 2016

It's true so many flowers bloom with water,
but you do not - you bloom with love, my love.
That's why this vase atop the roof is after
the petals in your lips, exquisite dove.

Just know that for no one but for you - I,
this humble piece of clay would like to fly.
It has been since the time you caught my eye.
Believe me, you got me tongue tie tough guy.

And yes, I fear no heights, though I've been told
that I can break but I don't mind. Oh god,
I want to be with you until I'm old.
For you I will defy my fate, all odds.

So even if you break me, I'll survive.
For long as you live I'll too be alive.
