This is a poignant poem, its easy to love some children even though they are not our own. I think about all the broken families in todays times and how many children get shoved from pillar to post. I think children treasure the love that they receive even if it is only for a short while. I think there will always be a part of him that will remember

This really touched my heart. Blood is not always thicker then water. You can love a child whether it is biological or not. And he will always remember that.

Oh, I've been here too. Being in a relationship and forming a deep bond with their child. This is all well and good, but when the relationship fails what we lose is double.
