Cats tale

by Michael   Mar 24, 2016

Wise prowlers of the night
eyes of diamonds in a lunar light.
Tippy... toeing on gentle paws
with carefully hidden razor claws.
Elegant in movement, somewhat debonair
dapper, sleek. Rodents beware!
Curious... They take a peak
a scent of a meal, tiny and meek.
The assumed crouch is taken
the leap of precision
for an evenings provision.
A prey trapped in purr..fect time
its time to frolic with, then dine!
Dusk peters out, and dawn comes to break
so swiftly home the path they take.
Creep back through their special flap
and set upon a snoozing lap.
A dignified beast with lives of nine
This intelligent, modest and proud feline.
