My man

My Man

I tell them my man is strong
I tell them my man benches 300 pounds on a bad day
I tell them he is fearless
I tell them my man is 6'4 with his hair buzzed short
I tell them he is a man's man

I tell them my man is handsome
But my man is beautiful

My man spends his time in yoga classes
My man has long in uncontrollable curls
My man is all smooth skin and shy smiles

My man is beautiful
My man is a women

I wish I could tell them woman is better then any of their men
I wish I tell them my woman was better than any man I could make up
I wish I could tell them she is a woman
I wish in this world I could tell them she was my man and they would be silenced by her perfection and not by our political statement
I wish I could tell them her value and they would understand
I wish they could understand
I hope one day they'll see it
I hope one day I won't have to say "my man"
I hope one day I can say "my women"

    Amanda,

This is lovely and so sad that you feel in todays society that you can't say 'your woman' and why should you not be able to do this?
