Lemon and Lime

by Maple Tree   Apr 13, 2016

Sipping on lemonade
within a springtime mist,
dewy cattails sway,

I dream-

Marigold's cover iris's
so that I remain free,

forever.

You are but a shadow
within a pocketful of
rainbows,

follow me,
tasting sunshine with you
has brought our souls together

at last....

    Andrea,
Such a fabulous write and an enjoyable read as always. Like Ben said it would have been a good contender for your own competition. Your imagery is good and I could imagine sipping that lemonade now.

Such a beautiful piece. It reminds me of summer days sitting in the garden after exams were over revelling in the fact that I didn't have to feel guilty for reading a novel rather than a textbook.
