A necklace of a rose

by Feel my pain   Jul 7, 2004

I was sitting in class,
I was done you see,
I looked at him,
And he was looking at me,
Butterflies rose,
And my blood went hot,
His eyes on me,
They surely could not,
I turned away,
For my face was flush,
His eyes on me,
Sure gave me a rush,
He flashed his smile,
And all was right,
I stepped out of the shadows,
And into the light,
For the first few months,
All was good,
Everything went,
As I envisioned it would,
He bought me a gift,
One that he chose,
I opened it up,
To a necklace of a rose,
But them I caught him,
"fooling" around,
My heart fell,
Through the ground,
My world was shattered,
And all was lost,
I gave my life to him,
At all cost,
How can I go on,
Without him in my life?,
I asked myself,
As I picked up a knife,
She slit her wrists,
In three different places,
Thinking about,
Familiar faces,
She saw her reflection,
In the mirror,
Tear stained cheeks,
She wishes he was here,
The last thing she saw,
Was herself lying there,
A life of no meaning,
That was completely bare,
The last thing she though,
She wasn't ready to die,
She had so much to do,
As she started to cry,
Everything went black,
And her eyes started to close,
Around her neck,
Hung a necklace of a rose.
