It Will Never Be Me...

I looked over and our gazes met...he said, "I love you."
Those words...grand in their simplicity. Those three syllables that mean so much. They drifted off his lips and glided to my ears; they circled in my head before finally settling over my heart.
I closed my eyes and a smile ghosted my lips, but when i opened them he was looking past me. When I opened them, those three little words sliced into my heart and I bled alittle.
I bled because his hand lifted and caressed her face as she walked up to us and he said..."I love you".
