The sirens wailed outside
As the onlookers cried
Out in grief and pain.
A mother and father
Lamenting at the scene
Laid before them...

The paramedics came and went,
Covering the lifeless body
That lay before all
Like a centerpiece to
The saddest play
Ever written.

The news reached the ears
