Flood of Emotions

by Larry Chamberlin   Apr 21, 2016

These banks which, overflowing,
fill the park into a field of lake,
have failed their purpose:
holding back the dangerous waters.

My chest tightens and talk with you
becomes too close to revealing
how much you mean in this life,
drowning hope of staying safely alone.

Larry what a beautiful poem. It gave me Goosebumps like a song I've not heard in years that starts playing and gives me that upbeat feeling.

It's hard to keep the feeling of lust/love at bay once it's gotten a hold of us.

    All the best, Em
