This Sadness

by Everlasting   Apr 25, 2016

My sadness is just like water

it evaporates but then it condensates
and transforms into drops
that fall
from my eyes

as if these eyes
were clouds that formed on the sky
then turned hazy

then dark

like a storm that stormed these tears
and that now
feed the grasses from where I stand

I look around....

I see the sun peaking through these dark clouds
but this sadness
is now a puddle where kids jump in

splish-and-splash

splashing the water
dispersing it all over the grasses

to then

let it evaporate

until I am standing on a dry ground.

I love how you compare your sadness to water because once it's gone, it's gone but if it's handled carefully then it'll be nurtured and go right?
