A missing place

by Michael   Apr 27, 2016

Occasionally I would meander
along the path where we walked.
Where we shared our thoughts
and openly talked.

Leisurely we strolled your hand in mine
a feeling so serene....divine
You shrouded me in your affection
a texture of kindness
a comfort caress.

I would lay down in our clandestine
place.
Where you would gently kiss my
face.
And when your lips to mine they did
meet
My heart pumped at a tranquil
beat.

The sensual whispers you breathed
in my ear
so deep and arousing.
Our passion...so beautifully intense
Our sense of humour, a natural flow.
Intrinsic ingredients, for our love to grow.

Sadly there was no end of time.
Love began to moan and
groan.

When it became you were no longer
around.
my heart cracked and ran
aground.

So drained with emptiness
missing you

as I do.

Michael, what a beautiful penned poem. You talk so openly and honest of how this lady made you feel when reminiscing that it makes me believe the love lasted some time and/or ended not so long ago. Anyway as Milly said we will have plenty loves that do not work out and then hey presto just as you were giving up true love comes knocking.

I feel though that maybe because the lines are abit unstructured (length) that it may benefit more from being in the centre, just a thought though.

    All n all, fab. Em

What a sad beautiful poem of love lost. We have all been in relationships where we felt we had found eternal happiness in someone's arms only to find that it dissipates and we are left alone again. The good news is that no matter how many great loves come and go from our lives there will always be someone else that we will come to love just in a different way. Milly xx
