Dark lullaby

by Maher   Apr 28, 2016

Rock-a-bye poor man bound to the earth,
while the wind growls, his soul shall disperse.
As his will breaks with heartbeat no more,
down will he tumble, soulless and worn.

Sent a not so subtle chill down my spine! There's a level of truth to this, which made it even more chilling. Good work!

    Hello,
I love how this is written to the tune of 'rock a bye baby' the lullaby is a dark one and sounds good. I should know I've just sung it to my cat.

    The cat ran away ....

    ....Tiddles?

Maher, you have excelled yourself again.

Such a short shocking piece that probably happens each day to many homeless people. A fantastically gripping write and penned well.
