What else is there to say?

The cruelest thing is losing someone so young.
I could've borne to see you grow old,
slowly wither, and die.
I could've borne it with years more of memories
to take with me to my grave.
But what I have of you is so huge, and so short.

    Hello Jane

Death is never easy but it certainly can be easier when it comes at a more fitting time, ie, old age. To see someone we love pass on at such a young age leaves such a huge hole in us that can never really be filled - how can it?
The last line is telling. When we love someone so much and we are hurt so much by their passing, whatever we have of them in our hearts becomes huger still...perhaps almost unbearable.

This is a very good little write.
    Take care, Jane.

This is so delicate and emotional and many people can relate to.

I lost one of my nans at a young age and was devastated and still 15 years on I am not done grieving. It's pretty hard because she was like a mum to me. Death it takes no prisoner and I believe when it's your time to go, you have to go fighting or not.

A beautiful but sombrely truthful piece.

    All the best, Em
