Mother Nature's Dixie Cups:

by Scott Cole   May 8, 2016

Her telling leaves stand upright
Before those skies wave bye bye,
It's the calm before the storm
Warning us moisture is gonna fly.

The sunshine closes her eyes
The grey clouds open theirs,
What's up with all this water
That's pouring from upstairs.

Drink up my thirsty friends
Those with your hands up,
And hold out your little glasses
Mother Nature's dixie cups.

When your thirst is quenched
From those wet clouds rung out,
All those life saving droplets
Have fell down the water spout.

You can put your hands down
And be on your merry way,
But not before you do
Bow your heads and pray.
