Do you ever feel so alone
That the void inside is lies heavy as a stone
And the more you dig and claw
The deeper you mind seems to gnaw
That everlasting feeling of despair
Is nothing more than a realistic nightmare
You try to see the bright side of things
But you only witness the clipping of your wings
It is hard to for you to fly amongst the clouds
When this weight is like your burial shroud
Pressing and constricting and keeping you bound
Is really a wonder that you seem to drown?
There is nothing worse than this hardship
That grips and holds and seeks to strip
That very happiness that you so desperately seek
Leaving you as one of the meek
Will there ever be a refuge found
Not likely, at least this go around
