Hello Brenda |

Ben, thank you so much! I actually stopped writing for a lot of years too, mine was due to a bad marriage, he managed to suck the life right out of me. It wasn't until I got a divorce and starting liking myself again that my creative side came back out. Please don't mourn the lost years, the fact you are writing now and such beautiful writes that they are is a cause of celebration. Poetry is our way to tell our souls stories-so write on! All the best-Brenda |
Hello Brenda, what a wonderful write. Poetry has a way of allowing us to express our most darkest feelings. It does bring peace within ourselves and sharing it with others is such a pleasure and finding the support and comfort. I begun to write down how I truly felt when being in the hospital. It has helped me so much. Thank you for sharing and all the best |

Thank you so much Dagmar! I totally agree with you, writing is such a cathartic release. It is wonderful we can write and pull all that stuff out, sometimes for sharing, sometimes just to get it out of our head and our hearts.Since joining this site I have met so many amazing writers and reading their poems and hearing their stories has inspired me in so many ways. I feel truly blessed and have gathered strength from all of this. I don't feel alone with my thoughts, fears, missteps. I hope you have a beautiful weekend Dagmar-take care-Brenda |

Thank you so much Andrea! I think we would all go mad if we couldn't or didn't write. |

Poetry gives us a voice to channel our emotions. Like you, before I discovered this gift, my shy self would hide his self loathing or unheard challenge. Now that 'garbage' can be set free onto the page/screen and to boot, make wonderful friends like you. X |
