7.00 A.M. (Septolet)

Bread
freshly baked
cooling on rack,
coffee brewing.

Scrambled eggs
served with bacon;
breakfast.

The Septolet is a poem consisting of seven lines containing fourteen words with a break in between the two parts. Both parts deal with the same thought and create a picture.

    Hi hellon, I love this and could just picture it all. Nothing beats the smell of bacon and coffee in the morning. Though bacon isn't a must but coffee is.

    Great write, Em

    Hello Hello, what a lovely write reading in the morning. It takes me back in time fixing breakfast before school. Those were the good old days. Not to mention the smell of fresh brewing coffee. Thanks for sharing. Take care

    I like these poems from you; it's like going to school!
    Lovely image created and especially apt as I'm having mine.

    Question, should the last word be the image?

    Take care,

    Michael

      Thanks for the comment Michael...much appreciated. I don't think the last word needs to be the image and, to be honest I never placed it there for that reason. I was just thinking that all the smells would make me ravenous and "breakfast" would be an expression of exasperation...like...at last. Maybe I need to put an exclamation mark after the word...not sure.
