Colors Of The Week:

by Scott Cole   May 13, 2016

Seven colors of the rainbow
Seven days of the week,
Which pretty little color
Will each little day seek.

Monday is blue
Our eyes still half asleep,
We rub em and rub em
And then take a peep.

Those ole Monday blues
That everybody hates,
But it's alway the first
So it never waits.

Tuesday is green
It's having a frenzy,
Because Monday came first
And it's green with envy.

Those ole spityful days
That wants to be first,
And so full of itself
It's about to burst.

Wednesday is orange
Middle of the pack,
That big ole thing
That's on a camel's back.

Good ole hump day
At the very top,
The rest of the week
Is just a small drop.

Thursday is yellow
A straight out coward,
That weekend shadow
With no special powers.

For it's not the weekend
Just one day away,
Yellow as a coward
But too scared to say.

Friday is red
Mad on it's face,
It has to work over
In this crazy place.

Red is for anger
Upset about something,
Those overtime hours
Your weekend will bring.

Saturday is indigo
Such a happy color,
Cause it catches your eye
More than the others.

Indigo is for love
The day we get off,
First day of the weekend
Nothing to scoff.

Sunday is violet
That stands for honor,
King of all the Kings
Makes the heart grow fonder.

Violet is for Royality
The Man above the clouds,
That day which to honor
And make the Lord proud.

Now there you have it
Seven shades of the rainbow,
With seven little days
That give off a certain glow.
