Treason

by Beautiful Chaos   May 15, 2016

Trying to turn myself off
Forget about you
But you haunt me
My thoughts, heart, dreams

We were broken
You pieced me together
It wasn't enough though
Doubt was ingrained in me

It grew each time you left
Every time you canceled
With every excuse
I was lost in your absence

Months of begging, crying, anger
Weeks of can't's and won't's
A lifetime of liars
It was all a breeding ground for treason

It turned me into everything I hate....

    Hello

I guess this can be regarded as the consequence for becoming so dependent on someone - it really can have a crippling effect.
The conundrum is that this person was the one to mend you but they ended up turning you into 'everything (you) hate'

    great piece. All the best
    Ben
