Home.

There's dew on the window
ledges and for the first time
in eons these glistening sparkles
look beautiful to me.

The sun is welcome instead of
being shut away, hidden behind
dark curtains and bland blinds.
I feel a peace within my heart
I haven't known for years-
one I thought would never return.

The mirror no longer taunts me, I can
finally smile back at it instead of waiting
for the anger to subside at the reflection.

You create a peace in my heart no one
else can and now you're coming
home...I wont let it fade ever again

not in a thousand of lifetimes.

    Jenni, this is truly beautiful.

Goes to show what real life an do, it brings us out of that dark place we thought we'd be forever and makes us love ourselves again.

    Magical, Em

    Hello Jenni

What a beautiful little poem from you that is both a pleasure to read and has a wonderful, calming rhythm to it.

All I would suggest is dropping the 'of' in the last line; I'm not sure it's necessary and it would flow better without it -your choice though, of course.

    Either way, this is lovely.

Take care and all the best,
    Ben
