People watchers (acrostic)

by Larry Chamberlin   May 20, 2016

Poets see all these people watchers:
enforcers vigilantly censoring deviance
older mortals seeking memories in faces
paranoids plotting revenge against strangers
lonely souls hungering for invitations
exploiters sniffing out weaknesses

wanderers drawing connections with locals
amorous hopefuls checking potential mates
timid youths attentively learning conformity
confident ones simply enjoying the panoply
hateful Scrooges finding myriad faults
explorers of spirit discovering compadres
rescuers always attuned to downtrodden
salesmen hawking their wares at shoppers

    Hello Larry,

I am confused, should 'acronym' be 'acrostic'

    anyway...

This poem really highlights some of the best and worst people in our societies. It makes one cringe really that like a jungle cat we are being observed for the next potential meal ticket.

Nicely worded poem that leaves an impression.

    Take care,

    Michael
