Feelings

by rorisang   May 23, 2016

You impregnated me with feelings,
You cursed me with words that get me kneeling,
I am weak in your presence,
The demons in that won't hold back when you hold me makes me lose all my innocence,
Your eyes drive me to a place where my feet can't find balance to stand,
Your heartbeats that pound ontop of me connects pulses that I can bearly understand,
There's something growing inside,
I can feel it trying to tear me apart insanely,
Could it be that I am in love?
Or is this passion driven by lust?
All I know is its not conditional,
I could run but I will find my destination leading me to you because my appetite for you is beyond my control,
You impregnated me with all these feelings, and I am not ready to ignite a fire that will only burn me.

Rorisang, welcome to p&q and congratulations on a wonderful first poem I'd love to see more like this from you.
The imagery here is wonderful especially the first line of 'being impregnated with feeling' that was a truly powerful start.
The feeling of lust and love are pretty similar I feel but love will always come through if you want it too and work on those lustful feelings though hard if you have been hurt.

    Great write, Em

    Hello Rorisang

First off, a very warm welcome to the site.
This is a great first post from you.
I like the metaphor of being 'impregnated' by these feelings of love or lust. It's often hard to tell between the two, especially near the start of a relationship. I always thought that love is what's left when passion's fire has died out. But anyway....
These feelings can be scary and can leave use burnt, but they can also be wonderful and fully worth the risk. Not much help, but there you go!

Keep writing and all the best,
    Ben
