    Hello

    This is a truly mesmerising piece of poetry and one that is written with real craft, imagery and wonderful vocabulary throughout.
    I hope someone nominates this as I am out of votes but, if not, I will come back and do so on Monday when my votes are recharged.

    Well done and all the best,
    Ben

    Ether, this is truly wonderful. Lots of imagery and descriptions that make the piece so serene and unique.

    Welcome to the inner world;
    where going forward
    is relentless back-tracking.
    my condolences for
    your inevitable failure.
    ^^
    Love this opening. Love how you use the opposites of going forward then saying you'll back track because we do usually especially when hurt.

    metaphors of walls
    do not apply here.
    the entry and exit
    are in superposition,
    as i pushed you in to
    the maze behind my eyes.
    ^^
    The imagery here is wonderous. I love that you refer to there being a maze behind your eyes. And that entry and exit is pretty much inevitable, possibly because of past hurt.

    i am motionless
    unable to point you
    in any direction.
    ^^
    This pulled at my heartstrings' because I have been here unable to show a particular person the way to go with me due to hurt.

    carefully trace the gyri
    with those ideas of yours.
    what i am has collapsed
    in to the sulci, where
    direction is meaningless;
    there is only depth.
    ^^
    Love this part.

    and there are more dead ends
    than you could possibly imagine.
    ^^
    Love how you link this back to the first part of having a maze behind your eyes, it works really well and is a very powerful ending.
    All in all fab write,

    Em
