    Hello,

I love these forms and the challenges they present. To be perfectly honest I can only guess the poems intent.
I think this speaks of a leader who has either introduced or allowed things to happen that now cause him and the country to complain. An ironic write, right?

Thank you for posting as it gave me pause
    for thought.

    Take care,

    Michael

    President Assad?

I don't know, I suppose it could apply to many despicable world leaders, couldn't it?

Anyway, I love this, Samia. "Serpentine leader" is wonderful. Obviously in senryu, word choice is so important because you have so few of them, and those two words set the damning tone of this poem brilliantly.

Excellent write. All the very best,
    Ben

Yes it's an irony huh? You would be surprised by the person on my mind when I wrote this, still could be applied to many others, thank you Micheal and Ben.

Samia, a very powerful senryu that speaks volumes and could be about many world leaders. Great words, great write.
