Lazy

by Maple Tree   Jun 5, 2016

I've grown lazy
within my pen.

Captivating
a reader with
words of flamboyance,
mystical treasures.

Days of metaphors
silence a need
to be realistic.

I never understood
why lace curtains
choked me so-
but they did.

Randomly I venture
off into a world surrounded
by trees- there are days
where the sun never sets.

Chaotic visions
grow within a dawning
urge to let if flow,
and like a river
it rages within
these veins.....

but I've grown lazy
within my pen,
ink slowly fades-

finally welcoming
the moon.

Hmm...there are times we all tend to give into laziness and that can be so in writing too. There are times we take the effort and go all out to be so poetically descriptive and create a master piece; then there are days we just use metaphors and other tools to create one. I like the feel of this poem and it reads very nice too :)
