unzipping as he enters
prays just to make it

The bathroom lessons are very hard for both the children and their parents.

lovely job with this difficult section, Larry.

Hahah...reminds me of my little one. I pick him up from school and the moment the car stops he runs out and I know where he is heading to! The funny part is when he finds the bathroom is occupied..hahah I like the imagery here :)

I must say, it amuses me highly that the color of the Fun & Humor section is a piss yellow, which really goes well with the theme of the poem. That small tidbit aside, this is an endearing Senryu; it feels to me like it's the beginning of a tv sitcom episode! Great job!

Larry, this made me chuckle. Always unfortunate when they don't make it.

    Hello Larry

A perfect senryu for me at this unfortunate time.
Just the other day, my little boy was in the garden with me when he suddenly stops and looks my way. I have learnt what that look means.

"Hold on!" I shout, "just pull your pants down and go in the bushes"

Stupidly, I help him pull his pants down unaware just how desperate he is. Standing (even more stupidly) in front of him, my clean trousers get a thorough (and rather yellow) soaking.

    Great stuff.

    All the very best,

    Ben
