I love the wording, it's so beautiful. I like the darkness, but can't seem to get away from the hopeless, sad feeling after reading it. I like poems make me feel something, and this definitely did.

One small correction: in the last stanza, "women" should be "woman"

    Dark indeed, Andrea...
That last stanza really is excellent work.
Imagery, layout etc etc etc is (as ever) enviably brilliant!

    Take care and stay well,
    Ben

Andrea...awesome. So much said in 5 little stanzas. The first and last are what stuck out for me. It begins strong and ends in honesty.

Congrats on the win, ma'am :)

    I may never know
    what a true sunset is,
    but I could tell you
    what whispers within
    the darkest of nights.

    That opening stanza, breathtaking.
'spec'? As in specification or simply 'speck'
I actually prefer it as it is. Works well and has me thinking.
I can always rely on Maple tree to hold my attention with her writing. Nice story telling and imagery with only a few words. No 'added' words to buff the poem up a bit.
I don't believe the last stanza though, everyone who knows you know you are an angel. 7 points.

The dark sadness in this write is so chilling and at
the same time it keeps me glued to every word
and line. It's as if the writer's cold sadness is
speaking to me making this personal. I liked
the opening stanza and the way it unfolds with
    vivid imagery till the finish.

Overall a dark sadness seem to have enveloped
the soul which makes me feel the hopelessness...touching.
