Crossed Words:

by Scott Cole   Jun 19, 2016

If you hold me up to any mirrow
Turning all my thoughts around,
I wonder what you might just see
As you give me your stare down.

Will your crying eyes ever dry up
Just like you've never shed a tear,
And those pains within your heart
Will nolonger poke you like a spear.

That frown you wear upside down
That pure joy upon your happy face,
And no breaks will stain your heart
From teardrops you might misplace.

Better days will soon come to thee
From your breakup letter in reverse,
That you keep holding to the mirrow
As you slowly practice and rehearse.

Oh my mirrow mirrow upon the wall
Give me back everything that I've lost,
Hide both my mind and my poor heart
From all those letters that are crossed.
