Survivors

by Judy Sullivan   Jun 27, 2016

You will not take over our will,
it is you that we must kill.
We will fight with all our might,
till all of you is out of sight.

We won't let you take over our lives,
just watch and see how each of us strives,
you can't take us all down and soon you'll realize,
that you made us stronger and only the strong survive.

I hope and pray for the day to come,
when all your damage has been undone.
Every day we're getting closer to a cure,
we're not going to make it easy, that's for sure.

It may take all we have,
to fight this deadly virus,
What do you say? Shall we kick
it's ass and leave it far behind us.

With our Lord always by our side,
your in for one hell of a ride,
with all of us you don't stand a chance,
we shall be the one's who dance the last dance...

Thank you so much Brenda for your kind comment. It really does mean a lot to me. I wanted to put something positive out there for those who have & are going through cancer. Myself included, but I'm determined to kick it's ass.

Judy, this is really well done! At first I thought it was about somebody and then as I read on I realized it was about something...Cancer perhaps? Really good write-take care-Brenda
