Sleepless

Cold winters night
Laying in bed
Can't go to sleep
To much in my head

I try the tv
Its not helping at all
So I lay in the dark
My mind is still full

I check the open fire
Add some more wood
Then back to bed
A full nights sleep will do me good

I try meditation
Followed by hot tea
Yet all of these thoughts
Keep inside of me

Maybe some warm milk
Mixed with a touch of honey
Back to bed i go
With a satisfied tummy

Tossing and turning
On a cold winters night
Cant fall asleep
Trying with all my might.

    Amen to that! Totally hear you! There is nothing worse than not being able to sleep-also knowing you have to be up in the morning to be able to go to work is torture!
