Dissection

by Maple Tree   Jun 28, 2016

Digging deeper-

They always dig deep.

My cerebellum has markings
of who was here,
date and time.

Marching in formation
shadow dancers sway
as the humming of drums
ring my ears to a

slow bleed.

Memories rupture
as night skies invade
private sectors, opening
my skull to society.

Thoughts become naked
as I'm forced to choke upon
rapture of loneliness.

Bathed in moonlight,
becoming beautiful
and
nothing.

Dissect these things
you fear, for I
stopped hiding
years ago....

The more light you shed on your darker sides, the more they seem to evaporate.

Lovely metaphor, Andrea, very well done!

    Take care,

Simply hideous, Maples - what's the matter with you? lol

The imagery here is fantastic - dark and great stuff.

Take care and all the best,
