Uncertainty

by ether   Jul 5, 2016

The corners of
your lips unfold -
do you dare speak words
yet to be told?
of soaring doves
and garden beds;
or thorns that bloom
inside my head.

do you know
what it is i do
when the sun goes down
and i'm not with you?
you've seen the hints
(blood on the floor),
and expressed concern;
the origin remains
untold by words.

and if you knew
the state of my brain
would you look
at me the same?

    I liked this a lot. It is true, if people saw the real us would they still like us? We all have that dark side most of us would like to keep hidden away. Well done-

    An honest sort of write that certainly raises a good point: do people look favourably at us simply because of the favourable masks we wear? It's easy to like the 'pretty' but the ugliness that's inherent in all of us is far harder to deal with, I suppose.

    Well done again,

    Great write. I wish more people would try to understand that we are all rivers that run deep. Inside we may be dealing with more turmoil than the outside shows, that is, until you start expressing it outside as well.
