Another

by SnowdropsFall   Jul 7, 2016

In life I would ask for love
You gave it up conditionally
Death separated us
Turning me inside out
I got lost in moments
Replacing what happened
With some other you

I wanted another love
Something pure to cling to
Another life, better
Than something not ordinary
A lie, dry lips feeding
On excuses wet with tears
Always some other you

Never time in the moment
A pause or word in chaos
Like I never loved
Or you existed outside
Of a dream or nightmare
Just a part of me broken
Left inside some other you
