With No Will - Waves

by Everlasting   Jul 11, 2016

As they form,

if you listen carefully, you will hear the waves:
come crashing at your feet
then ebb back to the ocean - in retreat

with no will

and if you see carefully, you will see the waves:
rise up higher, in turmoil,
then be plain with the ocean - remain still

with no will

and if you feel carefully, you will feel the waves:
wet your skin
then dry off

with no will

or so

I believe

That is some beautiful imaginary. Placed a sweet picture in my mind, but I've always thought that waves -the sea in general- has one of the greatest wills in nature.

Hmm - I've been thinking about will power. I think that as the waves are formed (born), they don't get to decide where they are going. They just follow a path. I mean, the majority of the times the waves are formed by the wind... And it is the wind that sets the path at which the waves will be going towards (or at least that's what I am under the impression). So the waves have no will. They merely follow a path set for them. Unless that that is their will?

Their will is to follow the will that has already been set for them? Nah, waves have no will. (Weird)
