The Night my Daisy's Died

by Maple Tree   Jul 18, 2016

Pages upon pages of spattered ink
my heart hears nothing, yet feels
every inch of death.

Sorrow grows like ivy within my spirit
choking memories filled with happiness
darkness knows no boundaries.

Ghostly moans become burdensome
chains rattle along a spiny frame
skeletons dance where Daisy's once grew.

Lips weighted with words unspoken
gasping upon tears I'll never let you see
fallen over the edge,

and this darkness,
it's all I have....

Andrea, this is so beautiful even if it's sad as Brenda said only you can make such sad poetry, beautiful.

All the best, hope the break helps.
